Marti Cate offers stage shows for children and adult audiences which are easily adaptable to different venues. FLIP SIDE is a collection of humorous vignettes of different characters portrayed in mime and dance. From an eccentric janitor and the mannequin he rescues from a dumpster, to a frustrated secretary who dances with her office chair, the show is a colorful kaleidoscope of entertaining individuals. The full performance is approximately one hour long. Because of its modular nature, it can also be presented with fewer characters in a shorter format. ASIAN SUITE is a program of pieces inspired by travels in - and the movement traditions of - Bali, Japan, China, and India. It includes masks, dance, music, physical theater, and an optional slide show. Individual pieces can also be presented separately, for example, in a program with other performers. Ms. Cate is also available for collaboration with other artists - performers, musicians, or visual artists - and for specially-developed performances such as commissioned, improvisational, or site-specific works.
